In Dubai with Sakina Paris
December 2017, Dubaï
Sakina Shbib is a couturier based in Paris. The Sakina Paris team flew to the capital of the U.A.E. for 5 days of work: a press event, Dubaï film festival, wedding dress fittings and several scenes were being filmed for a documentary about weddings in the Middle-East for M6, French television.
The first event: the presentation of the new Sakina Paris Ready to Wear collection in Dubaï for her clients in the Middle-East.
Music
This is the music I listened to in the plane to Dubai. It was a flight during the night and I couldn't sleep. This song reminds me of my excitement about the upcoming days in a country I've never been to.

Film festival night! Sakina dressed her clients and friends with her beautiful couture dresses. In the meantime, I had the honor to capture Princess L. Al Saud of Saudi Arabia in private portraiture. She gave me the permission to share with you one of the portraits:
Kempinski hotel
It was time to switch outfits and to walk to the Pulitzer, my favorite hotel in Amsterdam. Amazing interior design and very gentle staff who made me feel welcome as a photographer.
Sakina's Haute Couture dresses are popular in the Middle-East. The bride hired Sakina to create one of her wedding dresses for her big wedding weekend. The final fitting of the wedding dress was in the bedroom of the beautiful suite of the Kempinski hotel. Before the fitting, the hospitable crew arranged a royal lunch for us. It was a memorable day.

The next day we went on a yacht to film the last parts of the documentary and to have some fun with the team. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold.
